Forms API and Webhooks

Transfer data with our Forms API and Webhooks

Don’t see the integration you need amongst our integration offerings? Our Forms API has you covered.

What is an API?

An API (Application Programming Interface) is a method of data transfer. However, unlike a webhook, an API does not communicate with apps in real time. Instead, it works more like a traditional integration and sends data between apps at set intervals.

Access the resources you need

Learn how you can build connections using our open Forms API and Webhooks.
REST API

Get programmatic access to Formstack Forms resources so you can create custom integrations with third-party applications.

Webhooks

Get real-time HTTP POST notifications when a Formstack form is submitted. Push submitted data to other services or custom scripts.

Zapier

Formstack is proud to partner with Zapier to further extend our native integrations. See our Zapier integration page for more information.

How It Works

Creating a Formstack Forms API is easy

Step 1: Log in to your Formstack Forms account and navigate to the API page.

Step 2: Select Create Application and fill out the required information.

Step 3: To access the API information (Client ID, Client Secret, Access Token, OAuth2 Authorization URL), click on the name of the API Application you just created.
