My Brother's Keeper - Student Food Security Request Form

Food insecurity – the lack of reliable access to sufficient quantities of affordable, nutritious food – is common at colleges and universities across the country. Nation-wide, food insecurity currently impacts an estimated 14 percent of households. Here at Morehouse, a growing number of students are struggling to meet financial needs while working to meet the demands of a rigorous academic program.

In response, the Office of the Dean of the College and Department of Auxillary Services, in partnership with the Morehouse Dining Services, have implemented the My Brother's Keeper Student Food Security program in support of Morehouse students. If you are a student in need of a meal, please fill out the following form. All information will be kept completely confidential, and a representative from Office of the Dean of the College will be in touch with you via email about your eligibility to receive a meal voucher.

In order to ensure that students who exhibit need receive the maximum benefit from this program, the following restrictions have been added:

  • This program is open to all students without an active meal plan, not receiving a refund, and are Pell eligible.
    • Students living in the Otis Moss, Jr. Suites who have the 5 meals per week or 75 meals per semester meal plans are able to apply with documentation that demonstrates need
  • Each student who qualifies for the program will be able to receive a maximum of 30 meals per semester
    • Students living in the Otis Moss, Jr. Suites will be able to receive a maximum of 15 meals per semester
